Next-Generation Leadership and Twenty-First Century Challenges The International Young Leaders Summit (IYLCS), hosted jointly by YFWP and the Universal Peace Federation, is an annual gathering of young professionals dedicated to the realization of a peaceful and equitable world. The conference offers a forum for public officials, religious leaders, and stakeholders from all sectors of society to:- develop collaborative strategies for sustainable development and peacemaking;
- share best practices in areas of community service, education, health care, and conflict resolution;
- build effective strategic partnerships;
- develop effective communications strategies to engage broader sectors of the public; and
- network with new partners committed to a working beyond boundaries of religion, ethnicity, and nationality.
The International Young Leaders Summit concentrates on three core priorities: - raising and nurturing strong marriages and families;
- facilitating inter-cultural and inter-religious cooperation; and
- fostering a culture of peace and service.
Local and national issues of social relevance are also addressed at IYLS forums hosted in different regions. Plenary sessions and working groups present, discuss, and evaluate relevant ongoing programs as well as formulate and issue petitions, declarations, and statements to government and society, in some cases aimed at changing national legislation. The International Young Leaders Summit is a unique, multi-disciplinary gathering of religious, political, and community leaders and social entrepreneurs who together are developing an agenda for change, with the objective of building One Family Under God. Young Leaders Forge Pathways for Peace and Development in Asia-Pacific
